Blacklight Photography is a unique style of photography that looks so captivating to the eye, I feel as if these images evoke a sense of futuristic. Robert Babylon is an award winning photographer who focuses on neon erotic photos. His work focuses on sexuality, and the neon highlights the body by enhancing the models curves. The bluelight they use to make the neon glow is effective at partially lighting the model, the blue gives off a midnight vibe and the neon is a nice contrast to the image. The barely lit scenes adds to the dynamic of the photo.
Photos like the one above are ones that show the UV light the best due to bright orange against the black background. Getting a huge contrast is key for my work, understanding what colours can contrast each other the most ( Like lime green and electric blue ) is fundamental for getting the final result that I am wishing for. The composition of these photos are mostly close ups of the body. The photos are very dark evoking a feeling of vastness, whereas when I do mine I want it to be more futuristic so ill be practicing more with the blue light.
